Inter Milan has dismissed rumors linking Marco Verratti to a transfer from Al-Arabi.
Verratti currently plays for Al-Arabi, a team he joined last summer. His time there has not been very successful, as Al-Arabi is struggling near the bottom of the Qatari Stars League. Because of this, it is said that Verratti is looking for a new opportunity.
A return to Italy could be appealing for the 32-year-old midfielder. However, despite the interest, Inter Milan has made it clear that they are not pursuing him. The club already has a strong midfield lineup, including players like Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Nicolo Barella.
The reports from FCInterNews state that there is no truth to the claims about Inter’s interest in Verratti. The club is well-equipped in that position and does not need to add another player. Additionally, Verratti’s high salary would be a significant hurdle for Inter.
Verratti has had a long career, mostly spent at PSG after moving from Pescara in 2012. He has never played in Serie A, which makes the idea of him joining Inter intriguing. However, the current situation at Al-Arabi and Inter’s strong midfield make this transfer unlikely.
In summary, while the idea of Marco Verratti moving to Inter Milan might seem interesting, the club has firmly denied any plans to sign him. The combination of his salary and Inter’s current squad depth means that this rumor is not expected to materialize.
