Venezia is considering firing coach Eusebio Di Francesco after a disappointing fourth straight defeat.
The game was tough for Venezia, with two penalties awarded against them and a simple goal from Dan Ndoye. In these four matches, they have only managed to score one goal while letting in seven.
The pressure is mounting on coach Eusebio Di Francesco. Reports suggest that the club is losing patience with him. Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio mentioned that Di Francesco’s job is now at risk.
This season has been challenging for Venezia. They have only won two matches, one against Genoa and another against Udinese. They also have two draws and nine losses to their name.
Venezia’s struggles extend beyond the league. They were eliminated from the Coppa Italia early on, losing 3-1 to Brescia in August. This early exit added to the team’s woes.
The team was promoted to Serie A after a successful run in Serie B last season. They achieved this under coach Paolo Vanoli, who left for Torino during the summer. Now, Venezia is left to decide the future of their current coach.
