Manchester United secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.
Noussair Mazraoui played excellently as a right center-back during a recent Premier League match against Ipswich Town. He continued in the same position against Bodo/Glimt and showcased his skills again. The 27-year-old had 139 touches during the game and completed 114 out of 119 passes.
Mazraoui also won six out of seven duels he faced. He made eight recoveries and five clearances, and he completed all of his crosses. His performance earned him a Sofascore rating of nearly 8/10, specifically 7.9. He also provided a fantastic assist for Rasmus Hojlund’s equalizer just before halftime.
Mazraoui has been outstanding since joining under coach Amorim. Initially, he was brought in to compete with Diogo Dalot for the right-back position, but he has surpassed expectations. Earlier in the season, he excelled in both right and left-back roles, and now he has made a place for himself in the right side of the back three for United.
His skills on the ball have been clear to see. In the match against Bodo/Glimt, he stood out and seems to be a great signing at £12.8 million. Earlier this season, he impressed with his runs into midfield, but under Amorim, we are witnessing a different side of his game.
Despite limited training sessions with Mazraoui, Amorim has managed to enhance the Moroccan’s abilities. It appears that the coach has transformed him into an even better player.
