Umar Sadiq’s challenging time at Real Sociedad may open the door for a move to Sevilla this January

Donostia-San Sebastian: Umar Sadiq, a Nigerian forward, is facing difficulties at Real Sociedad. He joined the team as their record signing three years ago but suffered a serious injury in his second match. This injury marked the beginning of a tough journey for him in Gipuzkoa.
Currently, Sadiq is at the bottom of the team’s selection list under coach Imanol Alguacil. Reports suggest that his agents have offered him to Sevilla, as they are eager to find him a new club. Sevilla is looking for a forward to strengthen their squad in January.
Sadiq’s fellow Nigerian players, Kelechi Iheanacho and Isaac Romero, have not scored in La Liga this season, highlighting the need for fresh talent. If Sadiq joins Sevilla, he would become the third Nigerian player on the team, alongside Chidera Ejuke.
This season, Sadiq has played 10 matches but has only managed one assist. Out of those games, he started just four and has spent a total of 362 minutes on the field. His overall record with La Real shows only four goals in 49 appearances.
Before joining Real Sociedad, Sadiq had two impressive seasons at Almeria, where he was known for scoring frequently. His current situation at Sociedad has been disappointing, and a transfer might be the fresh start he needs.
