Swansea City aims for a Premier League comeback with new leadership and a clear plan, according to Swans Trust supporter director Paul Meller, following recent ownership changes.
Recently, the club announced that Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien sold their majority stake. The new owners include chairman Andy Coleman, along with Brett Cravatt, Nigel Morris, and businessman Jason Cohen.
Meller expressed excitement about these changes. He mentioned that the new investment is important for the club’s future. It helps build a sustainable path and sets a strong foundation for moving forward.
He emphasized that there is a clear direction for the club. Everyone involved understands the goal of reaching the Premier League. Meller stated, “The Premier League is the ultimate goal.”
With the new ownership structure, the Swans Trust, which holds a 5% stake in the club, has gained an extra seat on the board. This change allows them to have a stronger voice in club decisions.
Meller noted that the club wanted to ensure the Trust’s role was reinforced. He believes that their position has improved, giving them more influence in the boardroom while maintaining their protected stake in the club.
