London: Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven will be sidelined for a few more games, even though he has returned to training. Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar shared that van de Ven has ongoing hamstring issues, prompting the club to be very careful with his recovery.
Dr. Brar explained that van de Ven has a history of hamstring injuries and relies on his speed. This means the team is taking a slow and steady approach to ensure he can handle the physical demands of the game without risking further injury.
As a result, Tottenham is not rushing his return, and he may miss the next few matches. Van de Ven, 23, got injured just 14 minutes into a match against Manchester City last month, which caused him to leave the field in tears, raising concerns about the severity of his injury.
Fortunately, later assessments showed that the injury was not as serious as first thought. Since joining Tottenham this summer, van de Ven has quickly become a key player, known for his strong defense and quickness.
His absence has been felt, especially with other defenders like Cristian Romero also out injured. This isn’t the first time van de Ven has faced hamstring problems; he dealt with a similar injury last season that kept him off the field for a while.
Tottenham is determined to avoid a repeat of that situation by carefully managing his recovery. Manager Ange Postecoglou is eager to have van de Ven back as soon as he is fully fit, especially with important matches coming up.
Having van de Ven back would significantly strengthen Tottenham’s defense as they look to continue their strong performance this season. For now, the team will have to rely on their depth and hope that van de Ven’s careful recovery leads to a successful return.
