Sheffield United’s coach believes Jesurun Rak-Sakyi will remain with the team this season.
Rak-Sakyi, who is on loan from Crystal Palace, has been an important player for Wilder’s team. He has played in all 16 Championship matches so far and has started in 11 of them.
The young player has also been scoring goals, netting in the last two games and assisting in another against Coventry. He joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan in August. Wilder dismissed rumors that Crystal Palace might want to bring him back in January.
Wilder mentioned that he has been in touch with Mark Bright, who is in charge of Palace’s under-23 development. He expressed confidence that Rak-Sakyi will continue to play for Sheffield United.
“I spoke to him about it, and he is focused and wants to stay for the season,” Wilder said.
In addition, Wilder confirmed that Harry Souttar, who is on loan from Leicester City, will also remain at Bramall Lane until the end of May. There were concerns that Leicester might want to recall him after their coach was fired on Sunday.
Wilder explained that Souttar had to play a certain number of games to stay with Sheffield United, and he has met that requirement. “He’s here for the season, which is great news for us,” Wilder added.
