Parker made his first appearance for the senior team last December, but injuries have slowed his progress. He played three games before a serious hamstring injury ended his season early.
After recovering, he returned to play for the Under-21 team but has now gone back to rehab. Coach Luke Williams mentioned that Parker is at least two weeks away from being able to train again due to a recent setback.
Williams said, “He continues to rehabilitate. He is at least two weeks more before we can start to think about him training.” This news is disappointing for fans who were hoping to see Parker back on the field soon.
In better news for the team, goalkeeper Andy Fisher is back in training. Fisher had surgery for a groin injury he suffered during pre-season. Williams shared that Fisher is training well and is close to being ready to play again.
With Fisher returning, Lawrence Vigouroux has stepped up as Swansea’s main goalkeeper this season. Jon McLaughlin, who previously played for Rangers, has been supporting the team in Fisher’s absence.
