Real Madrid faced a tough night with a crash after losing to Liverpool in a match.
Fortunately, no players were on the bus, as they had already flown home after the game. The bus was being used to carry the team’s equipment back to Madrid.
Warwickshire Police quickly responded to the scene and released a statement about the incident. They mentioned that their officers received reports of a crash involving a car, a lorry, and the team coach on the M40.
The police confirmed that no one was seriously hurt and that the players were not on the bus at the time of the crash. This incident added to a disappointing night for Real Madrid, who had just lost to Liverpool.
Liverpool finally managed to defeat Real Madrid after losing to them in previous matches, including two Champions League finals. Liverpool played strongly throughout the game, creating several chances, but the first half ended without any goals thanks to great saves from Madrid’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois.
In the second half, Alexis Mac Allister scored the first goal for Liverpool, putting them ahead. Real Madrid had a chance to equalize when a penalty was awarded after a foul by Andrew Robertson. However, Kylian Mbappe’s penalty was saved by Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher.
Shortly after, Mohamed Salah earned a penalty for Liverpool but missed the shot. Liverpool extended their lead in the 76th minute when substitute Cody Gakpo scored with a powerful header from a cross by Robertson, securing a well-deserved victory.
This loss puts Real Madrid’s Champions League hopes in jeopardy. They have only won two out of five group-stage matches and lost three, placing them in 24th position overall with six points. Their chances of qualifying for the playoff round are slim, and their future in the tournament remains uncertain as they head into the final group game.
