Real Madrid is facing a defensive crisis after Carvajal’s injury during a match against Villarreal in October. They see Dalot as a quick fix for their current problems. The Portuguese player has been performing well for Manchester United and is signed until 2028.
Dalot is valued at around €40 million, and this situation could test the resolve of Manchester United’s new manager, Ruben Amorim. Real Madrid is ready to make a tempting offer to lure Dalot away from Old Trafford.
According to journalist Pete Hall, Real Madrid is not willing to wait for Trent Alexander-Arnold and is focusing on Dalot instead. Hall mentioned that Dalot has been one of the standout players for Manchester United lately, and if the offer comes in, it should be seriously considered.
Real Madrid’s pursuit of Dalot could also be a boost for Liverpool. While they have been interested in signing Alexander-Arnold, the urgency to find a defensive solution has shifted their focus to Dalot.
Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool ends next summer, meaning Madrid could sign him for free then. However, they want to solve their current issues without waiting until the summer transfer window.
If Real Madrid successfully signs Dalot in January, it might lessen their need to go after Alexander-Arnold later. This could strengthen Liverpool’s position in keeping their star right-back, which is crucial for the club.
Since joining Manchester United from Porto in 2018, Dalot has become a reliable player in the Premier League. His defensive skills and ability to contribute to the attack make him a valuable asset for the team.
However, if Real Madrid’s offer materializes, Manchester United may face a tough choice. Amorim might consider using the funds from Dalot’s sale to strengthen other areas of the squad, possibly looking to sign Viktor Gyokeres instead.
