Real Madrid is interested in signing Diogo Dalot from Manchester United, but the deal may be complicated due to his high price tag and the club’s financial situation.
Real Madrid wants to improve their full-back positions. While they are close to securing Trent Alexander-Arnold for the right side, there are questions about the left-back position. This uncertainty has grown after Alphonso Davies changed his plans.
With these changes, Real Madrid is now considering Dalot, who has impressed the club. However, signing the Portuguese player will not be easy. Manchester United is asking for around €50 million, which is a lot for Real Madrid.
Before Erik Ten Hag left Manchester United, Real Madrid had already reached out to Dalot’s representatives. Since joining United at 19 for €22 million, Dalot has become an important player. His role has grown, especially with the arrival of fellow Portuguese player Ruben Amorim.
Despite his importance, moving away from Manchester United could be tough for Dalot due to his high price. The club is unlikely to accept offers much lower than €50 million, making it hard for other teams to negotiate.
Real Madrid’s main goal is still to sign Alexander-Arnold. If they succeed, he would have the support of his friend, Jude Bellingham. The deal for Alexander-Arnold might be cheaper, focusing more on bonuses and salary rather than a high transfer fee.
Even so, Real Madrid is still interested in Dalot. They know that while getting him might be difficult, he could be a long-term solution for their right-back position and make an immediate impact on the team.
