Atletico Madrid’s 15-year-old talent Curro is attracting interest from top clubs.
Curro is a right-footed winger who can play on either side of the field. He has been performing well for Spain’s under-16 team. Atletico Madrid is eagerly waiting for him to turn 16 so he can sign a professional contract with them.
Barcelona’s top scout in Madrid, Andoni Goikoetxea, is very impressed with Curro. However, there is an agreement between the clubs that prevents Barcelona from trying to sign him. If Curro wants to leave Atletico, it would have to be his choice, and he has already turned down several offers.
On the other hand, Real Madrid has broken their agreement with Atletico to sign a player named Jesus Fortea. They are now looking to take more talent from Atletico. Curro has stayed loyal to Atletico so far, but Real Madrid is closely watching him and may try again.
Atletico’s coach, Diego Simeone, stated that he does not compare his team to Real Madrid or Barcelona. He believes in focusing on his own team’s performance rather than worrying about rivals.
For over ten years, Atletico and Real Madrid did not take players from each other. However, the situation changed when Real Madrid signed Fortea. They felt he was worth the risk, and he has recently started training with their first team.
