Mohamed Salah believes Manchester City will recover despite their recent struggles in the league.
City’s last win was over a month ago when Erling Haaland scored the only goal against Southampton. Last Saturday, they faced Tottenham and lost 0-4 at home, marking their fifth straight defeat. They have also lost three consecutive matches in the Premier League.
In a recent match against Feyenoord, City managed to draw 3-3 after leading by three goals. They allowed Feyenoord to score three times in the last 15 minutes, which was disappointing for the team.
Salah spoke to Sky Sports about the upcoming match against Manchester City. He emphasized that City is still a strong team, despite their current struggles. He acknowledged that they are Liverpool’s main rivals for the Premier League title.
Salah said, “Man City is Man City. They’re having a bad time now, but they’re going to strike back.” He also mentioned that City has a great coach in Pep Guardiola and talented players. Salah hopes Liverpool can win the match on Sunday.
In contrast, Salah and his Liverpool teammates are doing well this season. They have won most of their matches and recently secured a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid. This gives them confidence going into the match against City.
Arne Slot, the coach of Feyenoord, is aware of City’s potential. He believes Guardiola will soon find a way to turn things around. Slot knows that City is capable of winning and will not underestimate them in their next match.
