Lothar Matthaus recommends Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller to Barcelona for their midfield needs.
Although nothing happened then, Matthaus has now brought Stiller back into the conversation with his strong support. He believes that Stiller’s playing style fits well with what Barcelona is all about. Matthaus sees the young midfielder as someone who can help organize and stabilize the team’s midfield.
“Stiller would be good for Barça because of his style of play. I trust him, and if Barcelona were to sell, his signing would be possible and sensible,” Matthaus said, as reported by SPORT. With uncertainty surrounding Frenkie de Jong’s future, Stiller could be a valuable replacement if Barcelona decides to change their midfield this summer.
Stiller has made a name for himself. He started in Bayern Munich’s youth academy, where he learned under Hansi Flick. Later, he moved to Stuttgart to find new chances. His contract with Stuttgart lasts until 2027, and his value is going up.
Currently, it is thought that any deal for Stiller would cost at least €30 million. For Barcelona, this could be a smart investment in a young player who has shown talent and still has room to improve.
