Manchester United won 3-2 against Bodo/Glimt, showcasing impressive performances, especially from Noussair Mazraoui.
Mason Mount, a midfielder for United, was very impressed with Noussair Mazraoui’s performance. Mazraoui played well in defense, especially after a strong showing against Ipswich Town last weekend. He kept his spot in the lineup for the game against Bodo/Glimt.
Mazraoui had a great game, making 139 touches and completing 114 passes. He also made eight recoveries and won six duels. He cleared the ball five times and completed all of his crosses, even getting an assist.
After the match, Mazraoui thanked the fans for their support on Instagram. Mount praised him, saying, “What a player.”
When Mazraoui joined Manchester United, fans were more excited about Matthijs de Ligt’s arrival from Bayern Munich. However, Mazraoui has proven to be a valuable addition to the team. He has performed well in various positions and seems to fit perfectly with United’s style.
Mazraoui has played well as a right-back and left-back, and he might become a regular starter in central defense based on his recent performances. Manager Ruben Amorim seems to trust him in different roles.
Looking ahead, Manchester United has a busy schedule in the Premier League. They will play three matches in one week. First, they will host Everton on Sunday, then travel to Arsenal on Wednesday.
On December 7, they will play against Nottingham Forest at home. Currently, United is six points behind the top four teams and cannot afford to lose any more points in these upcoming matches.
