Manchester United Eyes Talented Attacker with Six Goals This Season

Manchester: Manchester United is planning to support their new manager, Ruben Amorim, as he takes charge at Old Trafford. The team is preparing for another round of changes to their roster, similar to what they did last summer with former manager Erik ten Hag.

With Amorim now at the helm, he is expected to bring in players who fit his style of play. One player on their radar is Liam Delap, an attacker from Ipswich. David Ornstein, a trusted source for transfer news, has reported that United is keeping an eye on him.

Delap, who previously played for Manchester City, has been making waves this season. He has scored six goals in just 12 Premier League matches, catching the attention of top clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea. However, Manchester City has a buy-back option on him, which gives them an edge in the competition to sign him.

This season, Manchester United has faced challenges in their attacking lineup. Joshua Zirkzee has only managed to score once, and that was during the first match against Fulham. Meanwhile, Delap’s former club, Manchester City, could still be interested in bringing him back.

Despite some strong performances from Rasmus Hojlund, who helped secure a recent win against Bodo/Glimt, United still needs more attacking options. Ornstein mentioned that if Delap continues to perform well, Ipswich might lose him to a top-six club.

It’s uncertain if Delap would choose to join Manchester United, given their rivalry with Manchester City. However, players have switched sides before, like Carlos Tevez, who left United to win a title with City.

Delap has been outshining both Hojlund and Zirkzee this season. If Manchester United manages to sign him, it would significantly improve their current attacking choices.
