Manchester United secured a convincing 4-0 win against Everton, showcasing strong performances, especially from Amad Diallo, as they aim to close the gap to the top four in the Premier League.
Manchester: Manchester United bounced back in the Premier League with a 4-0 victory over Everton at Old Trafford on Sunday. This win helped them reduce their points gap to the top four teams.
The Red Devils started the match slowly and struggled for the first 30 minutes. However, Everton failed to take advantage of their chances due to poor choices in the final moments of their attacks.
Marcus Rashford finally scored the first goal in the 34th minute. After that, United gained confidence and went on to secure a comfortable 4-0 win.
Amad Diallo stood out as the best player of the match. He played exceptionally well from the right wing-back position and contributed significantly to the team’s success.
In the second half, Diallo provided two assists and showed his skills in other areas. He won 12 duels and completed all his dribbles and tackles successfully.
His passing accuracy was impressive at 86 percent, earning him an 8/10 rating from the Manchester Evening News. Diallo had previously struggled for a regular spot under former manager Erik ten Hag.
However, under the new manager Amorim, he has been given a chance to shine in the right wing-back role. Diallo’s performance against Everton was a great way to repay that trust.
With this win, United is now closer to breaking into the top four. They face a tough match against Arsenal on Wednesday night, which will be a significant test for the team.
Kobbie Mainoo and Lisandro Martinez will miss the game due to suspensions. They are likely to be replaced by Manuel Ugarte and Luke Shaw, respectively.
There may also be a change in the forward position, with Rasmus Hojlund expected to start ahead of Joshua Zirkzee. The team is looking to build on this victory and continue their push for a top-four finish.
