Manchester City is facing a tough time with no wins in six games.
In that game, City took a strong lead with goals from Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gundogan. They were ahead 3-0 by the 75th minute. However, they let the lead slip away, allowing Feyenoord to score three goals and end the match in a draw.
This result comes just before a crucial match against Liverpool. Liverpool is in much better form, having recently won 2-0 against Real Madrid. The upcoming game at Anfield is very important for City as they try to turn their luck around.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has been in talks with the club’s chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak. They have been discussing the team’s struggles and how to improve. Guardiola mentioned that they have regular conversations, especially after games.
Guardiola said, “We talk, not every day, but often after matches. We share our opinions and try to find solutions together.” He also addressed questions about whether the team needs major changes in the upcoming transfer window.
He disagreed with the idea of needing a complete overhaul. Guardiola reminded everyone that just three months ago, they were champions of the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final. He believes the current players are still capable of success.
If Manchester City loses to Liverpool, they could fall 11 points behind them in the standings. Many think that would be a difficult gap to close. The match against Liverpool is just the beginning of a tough schedule for City in December.
They will also face challenging games against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League and against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace in the Premier League. City needs to find a way to regain their winning form quickly.
