Chido Obi-Martin will sign his first contract with Manchester United as he turns 17
Obi-Martin is a talented player who scored 32 goals in just 20 under-18 Premier League matches last season. His impressive performance caught the attention of Manchester United, who worked hard to bring him on board. He also scored ten goals for Arsenal’s under-16 team in a big win against Liverpool a year ago.
Since joining Manchester United, Obi-Martin has kept up his great form. He scored four goals in his first four matches in the under-18 Premier League. He started strong with a hat-trick against Nottingham Forest’s under-18 team. He also provided an assist against Leeds United and scored in a 3-0 win over Everton.
The manager of Manchester United, Ruben Amorim, has shown that he is willing to give young players a chance. Recently, he included 16-year-old defender Godwill Kukonki in the squad for a league match against Ipswich Town. This shows his commitment to developing young talent.
Another young player, Amir Ibragimov, who is also 16, has caught the attention of the first-team coaches after a good performance against Altrincham. Amorim has a history of promoting young players, having given first-team debuts to 27 players from the Sporting CP academy during his time there.
Given this trend, it would not be surprising if Obi-Martin, Kukonki, and Ibragimov all make their debuts before the season ends. The future looks bright for these young talents at Manchester United.
