Manchester clubs are looking to sign Douglas Luiz, who is struggling at Juventus.
The Brazilian midfielder was sold by Aston Villa but has faced challenges in Italy. He has only played in two matches for Juventus and has been hurt often. Recently, he has been sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Reports say that Juventus’ sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli, visited England. He offered Luiz to both Manchester United and Manchester City. United wants to help their manager, Ruben Amorim, by bringing in new players that fit his style.
Meanwhile, City is also looking for a midfielder. They have not won in their last six matches and need to fill the gap left by Rodri’s injury. Both clubs see Luiz as a good option to strengthen their teams.
Luiz was a fan favorite at Aston Villa and had a great season last year. He scored nine goals and made five assists in 35 Premier League games. His performance helped Villa qualify for the Champions League.
However, the club had to sell him to meet financial rules in the Premier League. It is unclear if Luiz would want to return to England. Both Manchester clubs could give him a chance to revive his career after his struggles in Italy.
