Liverpool is preparing for a future without Salah if he leaves the club.
Salah’s situation has upset many Liverpool supporters. He has scored ten goals in the league this season, putting pressure on the club to negotiate a new deal. The player is reportedly seeking a three-year contract to continue his successful time at Anfield.
Former West Ham scout Mick Brown mentioned that Liverpool is considering signing Mohamed Kudus if Salah departs next year. He stated that losing Salah would be a significant blow for the team. Brown believes the club is actively searching for players to fill the gap if Salah leaves.
Brown emphasized that finding a direct replacement for Salah is challenging. He described Salah as the best in the world in his position, making it hard to find someone who can match his skills. However, he noted that Kudus is being looked at as a possible option.
Kudus has shown his talent, being able to energize a crowd with his play. He enjoys taking on defenders, scoring goals, and creating chances for his teammates. Last season, he was involved in 14 goals in the Premier League, scoring eight and assisting six.
While Kudus fits the type of player Liverpool is interested in, signing him could be a risky move. The team needs someone who can score consistently, just like Salah does. Many believe that even Salah was not as prolific when Liverpool first signed him.
It is surprising that Liverpool is considering Kudus or any other player as a replacement for Salah. The club should focus on offering Salah a new contract to keep him. His experience and skills are hard to find, and letting him go would be a significant mistake for Liverpool.
