Swansea City’s decision to extend Liam Cullen’s contract is paying off as he shines on the field, showcasing impressive performances and contributing significantly to the team’s success.
However, in October, the club changed its mind and offered Cullen a new three-and-a-half-year contract. Since then, Cullen has been on fire, showing the best form of his career.
After his standout performance with Wales against Iceland last month, Cullen has scored four goals and provided four assists in just four games for both his club and country.
Swansea’s head coach, Luke Williams, praised Cullen after his latest strong showing in a 2-2 draw with Portsmouth. “He is a joy to watch,” Williams said, highlighting Cullen’s quality and energy on the field.
Williams noted that Cullen gives his all during matches, often seen drenched in sweat and adjusting his hair as he plays. “He works hard on his game every day and runs himself into the ground in every match,” Williams added.
Swansea will be back in action against Luton Town next weekend. With the way Cullen is playing, he is surely looking forward to the game.
