Kylian Mbappé’s transition to Real Madrid has been rocky, prompting discussions about a possible return to PSG, though some experts doubt this will happen anytime soon.
The 25-year-old player, who is signed until 2029, has had a tough start in Madrid. His difficulties were clear during Real Madrid’s 2-0 defeat against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
Mbappé’s first El Clásico match on October 26 was especially hard, as Real Madrid lost 4-0 to Barcelona at their home ground, the Santiago Bernabéu. Just a few days later, they faced another setback, losing 3-1 to AC Milan in the Champions League.
On Wednesday, with Vinicius injured, Mbappé had a chance to shine in his favorite position against Liverpool. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing night for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
This past weekend, Mbappé did score in a match against Getafe, but he has not played in many important games. If his struggles continue, some believe he should return to PSG.
Cyril Hanouna, a pundit, expressed that he would welcome Mbappé back to PSG. “I’d prefer him to come back to PSG,” Hanouna said on the show TPMP.
However, journalist Laurent Perrin from Le Parisien does not see a reunion happening anytime soon. He stated, “At PSG or in the stands of the Parc, no one misses him. It was necessary to turn the page—for PSG as much as for him.”
