Juventus has included nine young players in their squad for the match against Lecce, showcasing fresh talent and potential for the future of the team.
Turin: Juventus is preparing for their upcoming match against Lecce, and they have named a squad featuring nine players aged 21 or younger. This includes five players who have not yet played for the senior team.
Among the young talents, Kenan Yildiz, who is 19, is already a key player. Other notable names are Francisco Conceicao, 21, Samuel Mbangula, 20, and Jonas Jakob Rouhi, also 20, who have made their mark in the first team.
Some of the younger players have yet to make their senior debuts. One of them is Alfonso Montero, a 17-year-old defender. He is the son of Paolo Montero, a former Juventus player and current coach. Montero has played 10 matches for the youth team this season.
Filippo Pagnucco, an 18-year-old left-back, is also in the squad. He can play on the left wing and is the captain of the U19 team. Pagnucco has scored two goals and provided an assist in seven matches this season.
Another young player, Christos Papadopoulos, is a 20-year-old midfielder. He has played 12 times for the Next Gen team in Serie C and scored once this season. His skills will be valuable in the match against Lecce.
Augusto Owusu, another midfielder, will join Papadopoulos in the squad. He usually plays a more defensive role compared to Papadopoulos, adding balance to the midfield.
Finally, Diego Pugno, an 18-year-old forward, is the only recognized striker in the squad. He has been impressive, scoring six goals in 11 league matches for the youth team this season.
