Juventus sets transfer plans for Fagioli and Douglas Luiz

TURIN, ITALY: Juventus is getting ready for the January transfer window. Reports from Italy say they want to sell two midfielders, Nicolò Fagioli and Douglas Luiz, to help their finances. Both players have not been getting much playing time under coach Thiago Motta.

Juventus is waiting for offers for Fagioli and Luiz. According to Gazzetta, Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli talked with officials from Manchester United and Manchester City about these players earlier this week.

Fagioli is available for €25 million, and both Marseille and PSG are interested in him. Meanwhile, Douglas Luiz is unhappy and Juventus prefers to sell him outright instead of loaning him to another team.

Luiz’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, is already looking for a new club for the 26-year-old player. Currently, Luiz is injured and has not scored or assisted in his nine games this season.

Selling Fagioli and Luiz could help Juventus sign Bologna’s Lewis Ferguson in January. The club is focused on making smart moves to strengthen their team while improving their financial situation.
