Four Juventus players are making headlines as they follow in their famous fathers’ footsteps, showcasing their talent in the Serie A league this season.
Along with Montero, the other players are Timothy Weah, Khephren Thuram, and Francisco Conceicao. Montero is one of five young players from the youth team called up for this important match.
Alfonso’s father, Paolo Montero, was a defender for Juventus and Uruguay. He played for Juventus for nine seasons and also spent four years with Atalanta. Recently, he was the head coach of the Juventus Next Gen team until he was let go in November.
In addition to Montero, Weah, Thuram, and Conceicao are also part of the squad for the Lecce match. Timothy Weah’s father, George, is a legendary player who won the Ballon d’Or in 1995 while playing for Milan. He is the only African player to achieve this honor.
The Thuram family is well-known in Serie A. Lilian Thuram, Khephren’s father, played in Italy for ten years with Parma and Juventus. Khephren is now a key player in the midfield for Juventus, while his brother Marcus is a top scorer in the league, playing for Inter.
Francisco Conceicao, another summer signing, also has a father with a Serie A background. Sergio Conceicao, who has coached Porto, played for Lazio in the 1990s and 2000s. He also had stints with Parma and Inter at the start of the 2000s.
These four players are not just carrying their fathers’ legacies; they are also making their own marks in the league. Fans are excited to see how they will perform in the upcoming match against Lecce.
