During the event, Giuntoli reflected on Juventus’ season so far, especially after their recent 1-1 draw against Lecce. He described the season as unusual, citing numerous player absences. Despite these challenges, he expressed confidence in the team’s quality and the new coaching style.
Giuntoli stated that their goal is to secure a top-four finish. He noted that, paradoxically, things are going better than expected, even with recent points lost due to injuries. The absence of key players like Gleison Bremer and Juan Cabal, both sidelined for six months, has led to speculation about a January move for Silva.
When asked about Silva, Giuntoli confirmed that he finds the player interesting but emphasized the need for discretion during the transfer window. He mentioned that Juventus is monitoring various situations as January approaches.
There are also rumors surrounding Danilo, whose contract ends this season. Giuntoli reiterated that Danilo is currently their captain and that they are focused on keeping him. With their defense already stretched thin, he stated they haven’t discussed Danilo’s future with him or Napoli.
Giuntoli also addressed the need for a new striker, given Dusan Vlahovic’s injury. He expressed optimism about Arek Milik’s return, indicating that they believe in his potential to contribute soon.
