Barcelona’s Andreas Christensen may leave the club as Juventus and Inter Milan show interest in signing him amid injury concerns and contract uncertainties.
Barcelona: Recently, there has been a lot of talk about Andreas Christensen’s future. The 28-year-old defender has been sidelined for four months due to a painful Achilles tendon injury. This has led to a decrease in his role at the club.
Reports suggest that Barcelona plans to sell Christensen next summer instead of extending his contract, which runs until 2026. The club is considering bringing in a new center-back to join Ronald Araujo, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, and Eric Garcia.
Gianluca Di Marzio mentioned that both Juventus and Inter Milan are interested in signing the Danish player. This interest comes as Barcelona looks to reshape its defense.
Barcelona is unlikely to let Christensen go for a low price. However, if they choose not to offer him a new contract, they may have to accept a lower fee. Interestingly, Christensen himself does not want to leave Catalonia, making the situation quite complex.
