Josh Rae is eager to keep his position as St Johnstone’s goalkeeper after recent performances.
The 24-year-old joined St Johnstone from Airdrieonians this summer on a two-year contract. He started the season as the main goalkeeper but lost his place when Ross Sinclair returned from injury.
Recently, Rae got another chance to play as Sinclair got hurt again. Now that both goalkeepers are fit, Rae is focused on keeping his position in the team.
Rae acknowledged that Sinclair was performing well while he was out. He mentioned that he worked hard in training and waited for his opportunity to return.
The two goalkeepers support each other and have a good relationship. Rae hopes to maintain his spot in the lineup and continue performing well.
At the beginning of the season, Rae found it challenging to jump straight into the team. He had missed the last few months of the previous season, making it tough for him.
After sitting out a few games, getting back into the team has made him more determined to stay in the lineup. He feels hungrier than ever to prove himself and contribute to the team’s success.
