Inter not interested in signing Marco Verratti from Al-Arabi SC

Verratti, who is 32 years old, previously played for PSG for 11 years. He recently joined Al-Arabi SC in Qatar during the summer of 2023. Despite some rumors linking him to Inter, the club has made it clear they are not pursuing him.

The new owners of Inter, Oaktree Capital Management, are focused on building a younger team. They want to sign players who are promising and can grow with the club. This makes Verratti, who is older, an unsuitable choice for their strategy.

Additionally, Verratti’s salary is a significant factor. He earns around €30 million per season at Al-Arabi SC. This amount is too high for Inter and most other clubs in Serie A. Even a loan deal would not be appealing to Inter, as they are not looking to bring him back to Italy.
