Inter Milan is not prioritizing one competition over the other this season.
In recent years, Inter has regularly participated in the Champions League. They have had to manage their time between this top European tournament and their domestic league, Serie A. Under coach Simone Inzaghi, Inter has reached the round of sixteen in the Champions League for three consecutive seasons.
Last season, Inter won the Serie A title, showing their strength in the domestic league. However, their best performance in the Champions League was reaching the final in the 2022-23 season, which followed a disappointing domestic run. This led some to believe that Inter might have to choose between focusing on Serie A or the Champions League.
Despite these concerns, there is no sign that Inter is prioritizing one competition over the other this season. Coach Inzaghi has been rotating his players for different matches. However, he consistently fields a strong team capable of winning in Europe.
In Serie A, while Inter’s performance has not been as impressive as in the Champions League, they are still competitive. They are not easing up on their efforts in the league. This season, Inter has a deeper squad thanks to new players like Piotr Zielinski and Mehdi Taremi.
Inzaghi aims to utilize this depth to compete effectively in both Serie A and the Champions League. The team is determined to perform well in every match, showing their commitment to both competitions.
