Inter Milan faces injury issues as Carlos Augusto may miss the game against Fiorentina.
Inter is already missing key players in defense for the Serie A match on Sunday. Benjamin Pavard is definitely out, as he is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks due to a thigh strain.
Francesco Acerbi is also dealing with his own thigh strain but is back in full training. However, it is unclear if coach Simone Inzaghi will risk playing him so soon.
Now, with Augusto’s potential injury, Inzaghi may have to adjust his plans. Pedulla mentions that Augusto’s muscle issue does not seem serious, possibly just minor fatigue. Still, his availability for the match is in doubt.
If Augusto cannot play, it will limit Inzaghi’s options on the left side of the field. The 25-year-old had previously missed several games before the November international break due to a thigh strain.
He made his return after the break and played against Hellas Verona last weekend. The team will need to assess his condition closely before the match against Fiorentina.
