OGC Nice faces a severe injury crisis, limiting their player options and complicating training. The team struggles to prepare effectively for upcoming matches, impacting their performance on the field.
Nice: OGC Nice is dealing with a lot of injuries to important players this season. Recently, the situation has gotten worse. Before their match against Rangers in the UEFA Europa League, coach Franck Haise mentioned he had only 13 or 14 players available.
During the game, which ended in a 4-1 loss to Rangers, the injury problems increased. Haise said, “I am without 12 players and then 13 from the 15-minute mark after Youssouf Ndayishimiye’s injury. It is too much for us.”
He explained that he couldn’t change his lineup much because he had only a few healthy players on the bench. Some players, like Mohamed-Ali Cho, Evann Guessand, and Tanguy Ndombélé, played even though they were not fully fit.
Ndayishimiye is likely to be out for several weeks. Additionally, Melvin Bard had to leave the game after getting hurt in a collision with an advertising board. This ongoing injury crisis is making it hard for Haise to choose players for matches and also causing problems during training.
Haise mentioned, “Even with the presence of the young players, we don’t have a group of 20 players to work with an opposition in a tactical way, so I’ll integrate staff members for the free-kicks.”
This is a tough time for OGC Nice, who have been struggling to manage their team throughout the season. They will need to find ways to cope with these challenges until the winter break arrives.
