Venezia players travel by boat to their stadium, creating a special game day experience.
Busio explained that game days in Venice are very different. He mentioned that it all starts at the hotel with a team meeting. Instead of heading to a bus, they walk to a dock.
At the dock, a boat is waiting for them. The entire team, including coaches and staff, boards the boat for a 15-minute ride to the stadium. Busio noted that this part can be tough, especially when the weather is bad and the waves are high.
During the boat ride, they often see fans passing by in their own boats. On nice days, the boat has an open deck, making the trip even more enjoyable.
When they arrive at the stadium, the fans usually arrive at the same time. The stadium is located right by the water, so they only have a short two-minute walk from the boat to the locker room.
While there are many challenging stadiums in Europe, none offer an adventure quite like the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo. This unique travel experience adds to the excitement of game day for the Venezia players.
