A serious medical incident during a match led to an outpouring of support for player Edoardo Bove, highlighting the unity within the football community.
Inter President Beppe Marotta spoke about the incident, emphasizing the strong bond within the football community. He mentioned that both teams and the referee acted swiftly to ensure Bove received the help he needed.
Marotta shared that Fiorentina’s directors, Prade and Ferrari, went to the hospital to check on Bove’s condition. He expressed his concern for Bove and his family, stating that the health of the young player is the top priority.
The match was halted in the 17th minute, and according to Serie A rules, it will be resumed from that point when it is rescheduled. The score will start at 0-0.
When asked about the possibility of postponing other matches, Marotta focused on Bove’s health, saying that discussions about rescheduling can wait. The main concern is for Bove’s recovery.
Messages of support have flooded in from across the Italian football community, all wishing Bove a speedy recovery. Reports from Careggi Hospital indicate that he was breathing on his own while being transported and has regained consciousness.
