The Best awards celebrate top players and coaches in men’s and women’s football.
The nominees for the Men’s Player award include several well-known names. Dani Carvajal and Federico Valverde are from Real Madrid. Erling Haaland plays for Manchester City, while Kylian Mbappe is with Paris Saint-Germain. Other nominees include Jude Bellingham, Lionel Messi, and Vinicius Jr.
For the Women’s Player award, Aitana Bonmati and Caroline Graham Hansen are among the nominees. Both play for Barcelona. Other nominees include Barbra Banda, Keira Walsh, and Khadija Shaw. The list also features players like Lindsey Horan and Lucy Bronze.
In the Men’s Coach category, Carlo Ancelotti from Real Madrid is nominated. Lionel Scaloni, who coaches Argentina, is also on the list. Pep Guardiola from Manchester City and Xabi Alonso from Bayer Leverkusen are included as well.
The Women’s Coach nominees feature Emma Hayes from Chelsea and Gareth Taylor from Manchester City. Other nominees include Arthur Elias and Jonatan Giraldez. These coaches have made significant impacts in women’s football.
For the Men’s Goalkeeper award, Andriy Lunin and Ederson are among the nominees. David Raya from Arsenal and Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa are also recognized. Gianluigi Donnarumma and Mike Maignan complete the list.
In the Women’s Goalkeeper category, Alyssa Naeher and Mary Earps are nominated. Ann-Katrin Berger and Ayaka Yamashita are also on the list. Cata Coll from Barcelona is included as well.
Later today, FIFA will announce the nominees for the Puskas award. Fans can also expect to see the Best XIs for both men’s and women’s football this year.
