Palma: Barcelona is eager to get back to winning in La Liga after a tough stretch. They have only earned one point in their last three matches. This weekend, they will face RCD Mallorca at Son Moix, a challenging venue for any team.
Both teams are looking forward to welcoming back important players. Mallorca’s striker Vedat Muriqi is back from suspension. Reports suggest he will return to the starting lineup immediately. Cyle Larin scored a goal against Valencia but might be replaced by Abdon Prats.
The midfield setup is still being debated. Some sources say Mallorca will use a four-man midfield with Yan Valery, Omar Mascarell, Antonio Sanchez, and Chiquinho. Others believe they will opt for a more compact five-man midfield with Samu Costa, Manu Morlanes, Robert Navarro, Dani Rodriguez, and Sergi Darder supporting Muriqi.
On the other hand, Barcelona’s lineup is clearer. Manager Hansi Flick confirmed that both Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo will start after being on the bench in their last match. Marc Casado is also back from suspension, and Alejandro Balde has recovered from a neck injury.
Flick plans to use all his best players as Barcelona heads to Mallorca. Dani Olmo’s return from injury and Casado’s return from suspension are significant boosts for the team.
Meanwhile, Mallorca’s coach Jagoba Arrasate will miss Toni Lato at left-back and Jose Copete. Barcelona, however, is still dealing with several injuries, including Ronald Araujo, Ansu Fati, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen. Ferran Torres made his return over the weekend, coming off the bench for the first time since September.
