Everton faces Manchester United in a crucial Premier League match after a tough stretch.
The Toffees have not won in their last four matches, putting pressure on coach Sean Dyche. The team’s performance has been lacking, and their style of play has not been effective. There seems to be little creativity, and the attacking players are not performing well.
Striker Armando Broja, who is on loan from Chelsea, might play for the first time this season. However, it may be unrealistic to expect him to make an immediate impact after being sidelined with a foot injury.
The predicted starting lineup for Everton includes Jordan Pickford as the goalkeeper, who has no competition for his position. Dyche mentioned that Seamus Coleman is back in training but not yet ready to start.
Nathan Patterson is an option for right-back, but Dyche may not prefer him. The defense is likely to consist of Ashley Young, Vitaly Mykolenko, Jarrad Branthwaite, and James Tarkowski.
In midfield, James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam are still injured. Garner is not back in training, but Iroegbunam is expected to return soon. Dyche has limited options, and Abdoulaye Doucoure’s poor performance against Brentford may lead to Orel Mangala starting instead.
Mangala, who is 26 years old, has made five starts in the Premier League and could be given another chance to impress. There are suggestions for Iliman NDiaye to play in the number ten role, but Dyche does not seem to agree.
The attacking lineup is expected to include Dwight McNeil, Jesper Lindstrom, and NDiaye. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has only scored two goals this season and appears to be lacking confidence. It may be best for the team to start Beto instead.
The predicted Everton XI against Manchester United is: Pickford; Young, Mykolenko, Branthwaite, Tarkowski; Gueye, Mangala; Lindstrom, NDiaye, McNeil, Beto.
