Dundee United’s defender Kevin Holt praises the team’s strong start in the league but emphasizes the importance of focusing on each game rather than the overall standings.
Holt scored a penalty during the team’s 2-0 victory against St Mirren on Saturday. This win brought United to fourth place, tying them on points with Rangers, who are in third.
Holt expressed his excitement about the team’s performance, saying, “It is brilliant. It has been a great start for us.” He added that while the start is promising, it is still just the beginning of the season.
The defender emphasized the importance of taking it one game at a time. He stated that the team aims to collect as many points as possible without getting distracted by the league standings.
Holt understands that the league can be challenging. He is aware that United might face some tough times ahead. This is why he believes it is crucial for the team to gather points while they are performing well.
“We would like to get as many on the board as early as we can,” he said. He knows that having a good points total can be beneficial if the team experiences a dip in form later on.
Holt remains hopeful that the team will continue to improve and build on their current success. He stated, “Hopefully we don’t and we just keep going from strength to strength, like we seem to be doing at the moment.”
