Luton Town’s coach Rob Edwards urges players to stop making mistakes after a tough loss.
In these six losses, Luton has let in 20 goals. Edwards pointed out that all four goals conceded against Norwich were due to individual mistakes. He emphasized the need for players to correct their errors quickly, stating that those who don’t will not play.
Edwards believed the team’s game plan was solid and that they should have won. However, he noted that four significant mistakes cost them the match. Luton has only managed to earn four points from 27 available on the road this season. In contrast, they have won their last two home games at Kenilworth Road without conceding any goals.
After the match, Edwards went to thank the traveling fans but refused to apologize for the loss, saying it was not solely his fault. He acknowledged that while most fans support the team, those who are upset have every right to be. He expressed his own frustration, saying, “I’m angry as well. We’ve just lost 4-2 and chucked it away.”
Luton’s poor performance since their relegation from the Premier League has put Edwards’ job in jeopardy. However, the 41-year-old is determined to keep fighting. He stated that he is ready to work hard, but he expects the same commitment from his players. Edwards is looking for a turnaround as the season progresses.
