Barcelona is looking to sign Jonathan David, but Bayern Munich is also interested.
Barcelona: The club is currently exploring the transfer market for a new forward. They want to find someone who can either replace Robert Lewandowski or share playing time with him. One player they are considering is Jonathan David from Lille, who will be available for free soon.
David recently shared that he has been a fan of Barcelona since childhood. He is eager to join the team. However, Barcelona knows they are not the only club interested in him. Bayern Munich is also looking at David as a potential signing.
Christian Falk reported that Bayern’s Sporting Director, Max Eberl, has a strong interest in David. They are searching for a backup option to Harry Kane, especially if Mathys Tel leaves the team this summer. This makes the competition for David even tougher.
Barcelona faces challenges in finding affordable options in the market. David stands out as a cost-effective choice. He also has the potential for resale value in the future. However, Barcelona will need to appeal to his love for the club, as Bayern can likely offer him a better financial deal.
