Liverpool’s Arne Slot thinks Pep Guardiola will solve Manchester City’s current struggles.

In the UEFA Champions League, City suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Sporting CP. They almost bounced back against Feyenoord but conceded three goals in the last 15 minutes, which cost them a win at home.
During a press conference, Arne Slot expressed his belief in Guardiola’s ability to turn things around. He praised Guardiola as one of the best managers in the world for his problem-solving skills. Slot mentioned that Guardiola would find a solution to help his team recover from their poor performance.
Slot said, “He will come up with a solution and *clicks fingers* they will go again – but hopefully after Sunday.” He also commented on City’s recent collapse against Feyenoord, attributing it to changes made by Guardiola and some bad luck.
Slot recalled how Guardiola’s innovative tactics, like using inverted full-backs, were initially seen as crazy but later proved to be effective. He believes that if anyone can come up with a brilliant idea, it’s Guardiola.
As Manchester City prepares to face Liverpool on Sunday, they aim to avoid falling 11 points behind. Ilkay Gundogan, a City player, mentioned that such a gap would be hard to close. The match is crucial for both teams, with City looking to regain their form and Liverpool aiming to extend their lead.
