Ange Postecoglou confirmed Ben Davies will be sidelined for a long time after Tottenham’s defeat to Bournemouth, adding to the team’s injury woes this season

London: Tottenham Hotspur faced another tough match against Bournemouth, suffering a 1-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium. The loss was disappointing for the team and their fans.
Dean Huijsen scored the only goal of the game in the 17th minute, which came from a corner kick. This goal highlighted some defensive issues for Tottenham, leaving pundit Jamie O’Hara frustrated.
In addition to the loss, Tottenham also dealt with an injury to Ben Davies. He had to leave the game in the 62nd minute after playing as a centre-back in a 4-3-3 setup.
Manager Ange Postecoglou shared that Davies, who can also play left-back, is facing a lengthy recovery due to a hamstring injury. This is a significant setback for the team.
Postecoglou mentioned, “Yeah, it looked like he’s done his hamstring. He and Radu have had to play every game, and it’s a consequence of having the squad we do. It looks like he’ll be out for a while now.”
Tottenham has struggled with injuries this season. Key players like Guglielmo Vicario and Richarlison are also sidelined, adding to the team’s challenges.
Vicario will be out for months after ankle surgery, while Richarlison and Micky van de Ven are dealing with hamstring injuries. Cristian Romero is also out with a toe issue.
In addition, Mikey Moore has been ill, and Wilson Odobert is recovering from a hamstring injury. These injuries have affected the team’s performance significantly.
Despite these challenges, Tottenham needs to improve their performance. They currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League and have conceded 15 goals in 14 matches.
On a positive note, they are only six points behind fourth-placed Manchester City. A top-four finish is still within reach, but the team must step up their game.
