Amuzu’s Late Goal Saves Anderlecht in Europa League Match Against Porto

Brussels: Anderlecht managed to secure a draw against Porto in the Europa League. Francis Amuzu, who came off the bench, scored a crucial late goal. The match ended 2-2, keeping Anderlecht unbeaten in the tournament with three wins and two draws.

Porto started strong, taking the lead with a penalty kick. Wanderson Galeno successfully converted the penalty, giving Porto a 1-0 advantage at halftime. However, Anderlecht responded quickly after the break. Teenager Tristan Degreef scored to level the match, making up for his earlier mistake.

Porto seemed to have clinched the win when Fabio Veira scored shortly after entering the game. But just three minutes later, in the 86th minute, Amuzu found the net. His shot from the edge of the box was deflected, surprising Porto’s goalkeeper Diogo Costa.

With this draw, Anderlecht remains hopeful for qualification in the tournament. They still have matches against Slavia Prague, Viktoria Plzen, and Hoffenheim. Meanwhile, Porto will face FC Midtjylland, Olympiacos, and Maccabi Tel Aviv in their upcoming games.
