Manchester United’s manager suggests Diogo Dalot may play in a different position soon.
In both matches, United scored early but showed some weaknesses in defense. Amorim believes that the team’s defensive setup will improve with a new formation. As they prepare for their next game against Everton, reporters asked Amorim many questions, including one about Dalot.
Amorim praised Dalot’s strength and energy, saying they need to manage his playing time. He mentioned that Dalot is not a machine and needs some rest. Amorim thinks Dalot performs better when playing on the right side of the field.
Dalot was a regular starter under the previous manager, Erik ten Hag, but his role may change with Amorim. The new manager might rotate players based on the opponent they face. So far, Amad Diallo and Antony have played in the right wing-back position.
Amorim hinted that Dalot could compete for a spot with these players. Another option for the right side is Noussair Mazraoui, who has impressed with his passing skills in recent games.
Mazraoui has been effective in the back three, completing over 100 passes in his last two matches. His role might shift to wing-back once Leny Yoro is ready to play.
This change in positions shows how Amorim is looking to strengthen the team and adapt to different challenges. Fans will be eager to see how these changes unfold in upcoming matches.
