London: Arsenal has included several academy players in their first-team training session. This is ahead of their upcoming match against West Ham United. Among these players is 14-year-old Max Dowman, who has been training with the senior team again.

In addition to Dowman, goalkeepers Tommy Setford, Alexei Rojas, and Lucas Nygaard also participated. Defenders Josh Robinson, Ayden Heaven, and Zane Monlouis were present as well. This mix of young talent shows Arsenal’s commitment to developing their players.

Dowman was joined by two other midfielders, Jack Henry-Francis and Jimi Gower. Henry-Francis recently returned to training after a loan period with Sligo Rovers. His loan ended with the conclusion of the League of Ireland Premier Division season earlier this month.

Henry-Francis had a summer break before his loan, so he didn’t need a long winter break. However, he cannot go on another loan until the January transfer window opens. Therefore, he decided to train with Arsenal for now.

Dowman’s participation in first-team training is logical. He is too young to play in the FA Youth Cup match for the under-18 team next Tuesday. This is due to age restrictions in the competition.

He could have played for the under-18s in their Premier League match against Fulham. However, that game was postponed because of the cup matches. With no game to prepare for, training with the senior players is a great opportunity for Dowman.
